RLSA 2024 League Update #1
Below is some league news, Operating Rule reminders and Team Responsibility reminders:
- All games have been rescheduled. You should have received emails for the game changes. Check the website for the updated schedule.
Note: If updated games do not appear in your RAMP team app, logoff and log back in. PLAYER/STAFF AVAILABILITY IS CARRIED FORWARD TO THE NEW DATE SO PLEASE HAVE PLAYERS/STAFF UPDATE THEIR AVAILABILITY FOR THE NEW DATE.
- There is equipment (rake, tamper, water) in the umpire room for teams playing the late game to do some light diamond maintenance between games.
OPERATING RULE REMINDERS
- GENERAL
- A) In the case of inclement weather, the Douglas Park diamond conditions will be checked by 4:00 P.M by a person assigned by the Association. If the diamond(s) are unplayable, the assigned person will contact the Communications Manager or their appointee and the person responsible for diamond preparation. The Communications Manager or appointee will then contact the umpire-in-chief and the appropriate teams. At game time, only an umpire can declare a diamond unplayable.
RULE OF THUMB - IF YOU DO NOT HEAR THAT GAMES ARE CANCELLED, BE AT THE DIAMONDS, READY TO START THE GAME AT 6:45 PM.
- B) If a team does not have enough players for a game, they must notify the Communications Manager (Jolene Sentes, 306-551-0429), opposing team, and Statistician (Susan Getzlaf, 306-545-3091) 24 hours in advance of game time. The -Communications Manager will notify the umpire-in-chief, groundskeeper, and Vice-President.
RESPONSIBILITY OF WINNING TEAM
- Immediately after the game, text the game score to Susan Getzlaf at 306-545-3091.
RESPONSIBILITY OF HOME TEAM
- Return bases to the storage shed located near D.P. #4. Bases have been left out at least twice this year.
